L.A. Reid Reveals Possibility Of Turning His Tell-All Memoir “Sing To Me” Into A Biopic

Epic Records CEO L.A. Reid is interested in turning his tell-all memoir Sing To Me into a movie, Variety reports.

“I wrote the book, [but] it’s up to someone else to tell the story on film,” Reid tells the publication on the Epic Fest red carpet on Saturday (June 25).

With the massive success of Straight Outta Compton, CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story and hype behind upcoming Tupac biopic All Eyez On Me, it would make sense as to why Reid would want to tap into that market.

The book reveals details about the music industry and the stars in it, including Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Jay Z and Usher, among others.

Reid also tells Variety his plans for expanding the invite-only Epic Fest, held at Sony Studios, to an inaugural event open to the public.

“The growth from one year to only our second year is a great thing, maybe next year [the festival] is in an arena,” he says.

The second Epic Fest saw plenty of celebrity faces in the crowd, including Outkast’s Andre 3000 and Big Boi, Kelly Rowland, Cassie and Holly Robinson-Peete.

The fest featured live performances from DJ Khaled, KONGOS, Yo Gotti, French Montana, Jidenna, Kat Dahlia, Timeflies and Lil Jon.

Future closed out the show with a performance of his hits “Jumpman,” “Where Ya At?” and “March Madness.”
