Kodak Black’s New Lawyer Hopeful For Early Release From Jail

Kodak Black has been battling a nagging legal issue but there might be some relief coming soon if the words of his new attorney can be believed. After hints last week that the Florida rapper might only need to serve a month of his recently announced one-year sentence, his new representation seems confident that will actually come to pass.

Brett Clarkson of local outlet The Sun-Sentinel has been covering Kodak’s case and got in contact with Bradford Cohen, the “Tunnel Vision” artist’s new lawyer. Kodak, born Dieuson Octave, let go of his previous lawyers and has enrolled in a 30-day life skills course. According to a conversation between Cohen and Clarkson, Kodak’s previous time served and the completion of the course could lead to his early release.

Kodak has been behind bars since February for violating probation and was handed his current 364-day sentence on May 4. Judge Michael Lynch of the Broward Circuit Court was lenient on the 19-year-old, who faced a potential eight-year sentence. If Kodak completes the course, he’ll have to serve a sentence of 180 days with the time served counting toward that. Even with the good news here, Future’s Nobody Safe Tour has kicked off without Project Baby.

    1. Hopefully, this cow turd stays back in jail. Ain’t nobody checking for him. You bring him out, he still gonna go back to jail. So just keep him there. Thanx to DX for the update.Like it is worth it.SMH.

    2. Every time I comment on how much of a piece of shit this guy is, it always gets deleted.

      1. dx more often than not puffs the peter of the pathetic and talentless. the ones that showcase n1gg3r credentials, causing those who know nothin, to stereotype an entire race.

    3. ‘Hoping for an early release…..’ BASED ON WHAT?! The Fact this Braindead WASTE OF SPACE keeps f*ing up time after time… or how he’s tryin’ to KEEP UP with ‘L’ Magnets like CHIEF F*CK-UP and weak meek tha RAT! #CantTeachADumbNiccaNothin’

    4. Consider his age, consider where he grew up, consider what he has seen and been subjected to during his formative years, consider that he has not had someone older and wiser to advise him. Is it that surprising that he has got into trouble? He has a talent and he should be given the opportunity to better his life,. He needs the support of someone who Is genuine and not the negativity given by many.

      1. Nobody looks at it that way bro. They just wanna say oh he’s a stupid. Bc he’s a celebrity he’s supposed to be perfect? I’m sure we all did dumb shit when we were 19. But he’s in the spotlight is the only difference. Good comment

        1. If everyone considered what they did at that age but didn’t get caught and weren’t doing everything in the spotlight, they may have more understanding and empathy. Thanks for you positivity (I won’t hold it against you that you assume I am male!)

      1. Your language shows your ignorance. Prison does not make a person better, in fact it often has the reverse effect, KB should be able to develop his talent with some positive support.
