Kodak Black has called out 21 Savage for his comments about Nas being “irrelevant” following the release of his King’s Disease 3 album.

The Florida rapper took to Instagram Live on Monday (November 14) to put 21 on blast for questioning the New York legend’s current position in the rap game, while quoting lyrics from his 2002 song “I Can.”

“Talking about, ‘Oh, Nas irrelevant.’ How the fuck Nas irrelevant, hoe?” Kodak Black asked. “How the fuck Nas ain’t relevant, homie? N-gga smoking dick! Did a fucking Drake [album]. We salute Drake, we love Drake, okay, whatever.

“Nas that n-gga, homie. I know I can (I know I can) / Be what I wanna be (Be what I wanna be) / If I work hard at it (If I work hard at it) / I’ll be where I wanna be. You crazy, boy! The fuck? Nas that boy. Homie, you tripping. Nas that n-gga, boy, you tripping, boy. The fuck?”

He continued to defend Nas by saying: “A n-gga fucked up about Nas. I love that boy, homie. I ain’t saying n-ggas ain’t lit or whatever and they on they real. Nas wasn’t bothering you, boy. I wasn’t bothering you, n-gga.”

21 Savage received backlash earlier this week for claiming Nas isn’t “relevant” in today’s Hip Hop landscape, despite the quality of his current output, while discussing veteran rappers on a recent Clubhouse call.

“I don’t feel like he’s relevant,” he said. “I don’t feel like Nas is relevant. He’s not relevant, he just has a loyal ass fan base. He just has a loyal fan base and he still makes good-ass music. But relevant?”

“I would never disrespect nas or any legend who paved the way for me y’all be tryna take stuff and run with it,” he wrote.
