Kid Cudi looks set to continue his Hollywood takeover as he’s now been attached to the star-studded cast of Trolls Band Together, the third film in the DreamWorks series.

In an Instagram post on Monday (March 27), the animated film company shared the trailer to quench the thirst of fans. Trolls 3 is scheduled to be released on November 17.

Kid Cudi along with the likes of Camila Cabello, Amy Schumer, RuPaul and Anderson .Paak are expected to join the film’s ensemble cast.

“It’s time to get the band back together!” the post read. “Watch the trailer for #TrollsBandTogether, only in theaters November 17.”

The Cleveland-bred rapper began acting in 2009 for the HBO series How to Make It in America. He would go on to star in several other feature films including Entourage (2015), Bill & Ted Face the Music (2020), and X (2022).

In 2020, Cudi started his production company Mad Solar, which produced his Netflix animated special Entergalactic. He was also credited as an executive producer on the award-winning 2021 film Malcolm & Marie.

Despite Cudi pivoting more into film and TV, the 39-year-old rapper has made it clear he’s not leaving music behind just yet. Earlier this month, he claimed that his forthcoming project would be the “Album of the Year,” and gave fans an update about when to expect new music.

Cudder took to Instagram Live following a satisfying studio session to discuss his “powerful” new album.

“I’ve never made a project this powerful before in my life. Sitting, listening to these mixes, I just know that this shit is going to move you,” Cudi said. “Y’all are going to fuck with this shit in such a major way and I’m so fucking excited.

“I just wanted to get on here and just let y’all know that I’m not gonna let y’all down. This is gonna be the album of the year right now, I’m not playing. This is not a fucking joke. Tell everybody you fucking know, ok?”

Cudi continued by revealing that the first single off the project will drop in June.

“June, the first single is happening. June 1, okay?” he said. “It’s not a fucking game. This shit is going down, alright? I’m back.”

In other Kid Cudi news, the rapper has also revealed that he has a memoir in the works. He recently, revealed that his forthcoming memoir will include stories that his fans have never heard of, and hopes his new book will inspire his supporters to follow their dreams.

He took to Twitter to announce that he’s hard at work on his memoir and that it could potentially arrive sometime next year.

“Hey, what’s going on guys?” Cudi said via a Twitter voice note. “So right now, I’m working on my memoir and I have about four or five chapters so far and I touched on a lot. I talked about a lot of shit that y’all have no idea and stuff that you’ve never heard about. My upbringing, you know, how I got started with music and even how I got interested in acting.”
