Kendrick Lamar has been added to the Fortnite Festival roster along with several other A-listers as the virtual concert experience prepares to launch this weekend.

Epic Games has revealed the full lineup for their lastest feature, which isn’t just modeled on Rock Band but also made in collaboration with the same developer, Harmonix. Scheduled to go live on Saturday (December 9), a range of acts will be the featured on the game’s Chapter 5, Season 1.

With The Weeknd having bagged a headlining spot, K.Dot and NF will add some more flavor to the diverse lineup that also includes Billie Eilish, Nine Inch Nails and Weezer, among others.

In addition to other new features, the game mode will allow players to hit notes in tune with a song while watching an artist onscreen. Players will have the option of performing in a band with their friends or playing solo onstage.

Last month, three Eminem skins went live in Fortnite as the Detroit MC made his debut in the domain. Players can now wear outfits worn by the rap icon, including one from his Slim Shady era, a Rap Boy costume and a Marshall Never More costume.

The 51-year-old was also involved in the game’s Big Bang event, which saw it transition to Chapter 5. At the event, he performed a virtual in-game concert similar to those seen in the past from Travis Scott and Ariana Grande.

Scott’s performance in 2020 not only set the bar for digital concerts but also broke a viewership record in the process.

An estimated 12.3 million players participated in the show as the Houston native brought his fiery Astroworld set to the 15-minute set. This was also where he premiered “The Scotts,” his collaboration with Kid Cudi.

The turnout was largely helped by stay-at-home quarantine orders mandated across the world as well as the promise of new single. The concert surpassed the previous record as 10.7 million fans logged in for EDM artist Marshmello‘s virtual performance the year prior. The figure also didn’t include views through secondary platforms such as Twitch and YouTube.

Epic Games subsequently added Scott to their Icon Series to let players get his outfits, emotes, gear and other accessories. Gamers who attended the concert events were also promised access to the Astroworld Cyclone Glider as well as two loading screens for free.
