Kanye West’s endorsement may be worth a lot more than you think.
Earlier this week, The Daily Mail reported that a bag of air from Kanye’s “Yeezus” tour had surfaced on ebay with a listing price of $5.00.
Bidders pursued the zipper-sealed, plastic sandwich bag aggressively, pushing the price to $65,000.
Besides mentioning that the air came from an eBay member in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, the seller’s brief description read: “Held bag open and sealed air in.”
The odd-souvenir has been removed from the internet auction site, but not before it spawned over a half-dozen other bags of air from the “Yeezus” tour.
Many of the newly-listed bags of air are allegedly from fans who sat in the front row. However, most have not reached bids over $1,000.
One seller is actually auctioning a Kanye West “Yeezus” Tour tissue. The starting bid is $2,000. Its description reads: “Attended a Kanye West concert while in New York had the plessure of being close to the stage so decided to get a tissue and touch areas I could. Tissue has maybe even his dripping sweet. great memory piece.”
