Kanye West stopped by Power 105.1 The Breakfast Club today (February 20) to have a conversation with the “the world’s most dangerous morning show” hosts: DJ Envy, Angela Yee and Charlamagne Tha God.

During the hour-long conversation, Kanye provided perspective to practically all of the questions and events that have kept his name printed throughout the tabloids in the last several months.

In addition to commenting on his latest shoes with adidas, Amber Rose’s recent feud with his wife’s family, and rekindling his relationship with Dame, ‘Ye spoke about a planned joint album with Drake and his upcoming untitled project.

‘Ye revealed that he had discussed creating an album called Wolves with Drake several years ago but it never materialized. Instead, the album concept transferred into a track featuring Vic Mensa off of his forthcoming album.

“Yeah, I asked him and we talked about it and we said yeah we was going to do it,” he told the morning show hosts. “The ‘Wolves’ song came from a conversation that me and Drake had, where we was  going to do an album together and the album was called Wolves…Me and Jay start talking about Watch the Throne, then Drake went and did all the records with Wayne and did the tour.”

As for his own solo studio album, Kanye says it’s filled with “bars, songs,” and “cookout music that feels good.” He’s still prepping it but 80 percent of the project is complete.

“My last album was a protest in music,” he says. “I was like, ‘I’m gonna take my ball and go home. If ya’ll aint going let me play where I wanna play and do clothes and do this…The album [Yeezus] don’t really got no music I just let ya’ll have a little music on it.’…’Bound,’ but that was it.

“This album is about embracing the music and embracing joy and being of joy and being of service to the people,” he continues. “I just hope people like it and enjoy it. You know, that’s it.”

During his previous visit to the show two years ago, Kanye defended his rants, his fashion woes and responded to harsh critiques of his Yeezus album.

This time around, Charlamagne said Kanye came across way more “humbler.”
