Joe Budden Says Joell Ortiz & KXNG Crooked’s ‘Slaughterhouse’ Album Can ‘Suck His Dick’

The original lineup of Slaughterhouse featuring Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz, KXNG Crooked and Royce da 5’9” has found themselves at odds with one another recently.

After Crooked and Ortiz revealed they were releasing a follow-up to their H.A.R.D. EP entitled The Rise And Fall Of Slaughterhouse, the other two group members quickly sounded off about it. It all culminated in a verbal sparring session where an attempt to clear the air only sullied things even more.

During an hour-long argument captured on Instagram Live, Budden remarked he wished nothing but the best for Ortiz, the Brooklyn rapper asked for Budden and fans to check out H.A.R.D. with an honest opinion, a statement Budden didn’t take too kindly towards.

“Tell ’em what album? Suck my dick, are you kidding me?” Budden asked. “You want people to listen to this clown show?”

Ortiz rapidly fired back, “N-gga, suck MY dick! Don’t go there, don’t do that.”

After Ortiz jumped off the live following Joe’s comment, the Joe Budden Podcast host scoffed at the notion altogether.

The original issue arrived because Budden and Ortiz agreed the group had “bad business.” The four-man outfit only released one album together, 2012’s welcome to: OUR HOUSE, before disbanding in 2018 and officially being off Eminem’s Shady Records in 2021.

Royce Da 5’9 & Joe Budden Show Disapproval For Joell Ortiz & KXNG Crooked New 'Slaughterhouse’

In February, Royce took to Instagram to show he wasn’t here for an attempted Slaughterhouse project without his involvement, as he and Budden’s names are still fondly attached to the brand.

“You have 25% ownership/equity in a building,” Royce began his post with a hypothetical anecdote. “Let’s say an apartment building… You built this building with your 3 partners, brick by brick.. It’s worth millions.. Suddenly, the value drops because it needs renovations etc .. You and your partners have been talking about when and how this work is gonna get done.. Y’all just need to agree on plan of attack.

“Meanwhile: You and just one of the other partners receive an offer 2 build another building together but with just the 2 of you,” he said. “Minus your other 2 partners… Yes… There’s a check involved.. BUT… Just One Catch: You have to burn down the building you already have without informing your other 2 partners in order to do so.”

    1. Hoe I mean Joe used to be anti industry pro emcee. Now he’d rather stand next to nicki Minaj and cardi before he’d big up his so called brothers. Joe not only sold out with this show, but damaged his rep as someone in hiphop. I know he wouldn’t talk to Crook like this though

      1. Crook would slap his ass, but he did just call him and Joel clowns.. this will.not be the last we hear from.this

        1. Joe forgot that Crook is a Crip and he and he’s homies gonna fuck him up! And Royce really looks gay in this video! Germaine XXXL!!!!!

    2. None of this drama surprises me. Slaughterhouse never felt like a real group. I remember watching their interviews and stuff and they all looked miserable together. No chemistry and now the world can see it.

    3. look at royce sittin there like buddens wifey all enabling and in agreement an shit. after kanye, budden the saltiest dude in rap. FACTS

    4. Guess the dipshit that wrote this article didn’t do any research… they put out TWO albums with slaughterhouse being the 1st and welcome to our house being the 2nd… Google is not that hard to use

      1. Budden remarked he wished nothing but the best for Ortiz, the Brooklyn rapper asked for Budden and fans to check out H.A.R.D. with an honest opinion, a statement Budden didn’t take too kindly towards.

It wasn’t HARD that Joell said listen to it was the new album, the staff at DC stay slipping

    5. They released 2 albums, don’t forget 2009s Slaughterhouse, great record! Joe was a talented MC, but he’s just a media personality now, all drama, no bars. Sad that Royce wouldn’t move forward with the group, he’s one of the greatest. Salute Crook and Joell for recovering the ball, and pushing forward!

    6. It’s a shame because what an insane lyrical group they were and coulda been staying. But Budden and Royce are such little fucking bitches like stuf. They want to bitch and moan and will be THE FIRST people on earth to listen to this EP on Friday. Hope they get flamed through the whole album fuck em

    7. How ended up being what he said he hated. Never thought I’d see the day. Royce just backing whatever Em wanted for the group overall. Good, or bad; we will never know. Royce was always going to be good. In all the business deals that have gone sour with Joe the consistent piece is Joe. Doesn’t seem like he ever wanted to go back. I want to hear wrong cause I think they are an important piece in Hip-Hop. Maybe this will light a fire for him to want to pick up the mic. I’m just not sure. What happened to Glass House? A finished album that has never seen the light of day? An unfinished contract? This is some dumb, nonsensical shit.

    8. Joe is such unstable and toxic person, it’s no wonder this clown has the revolving door of friends/associates that he’s had over the years and this is coming from someone who used to ride with dude since like 07’ and was all over the Joe budden tv message board. When Joe “retired” to become hip hops Whoopi Goldberg with his podcast he forfeited all rights to an opinion about anything related to SH. And don’t get me started on hip hops Karen aka Royce. I will purchase Joel and Crooked’s album, it’s good to see they actually give a sh*t about the fans.

    9. Idk who wrote this article, BUT, the album in question is not H.A.R.D. That joell was asking Budden to support. It was The Rise and Fall of Slaughterhouse. Also “the four man outfit” did not only release one album. Prior to Welcome to Our:House, there was
The self titled debut. There was also the slaughterhouse EP. And those were 2 albums PRIOR. I won’t even mention the mixtapes. These 20 year olds fairy whiteys that control the hip hop news narrative have no clue. Great journalism.

    10. Let’s be honest, they all suck. Crooked I is one of the most boring rappers on the planet, joell ortiz has zero flow and can’t rap for shiat and nobody knows one single Joe budden lyric.

    11. Joe and Royce aren’t wrong, just not the most articulate about it. Joell and Crooked are using something the four of the built and getting money off of it without a single convo about the brand equity all four of them have in SH. That’s like “letter of the law” type stuff. And I don’t think Crook and Joell are wrong either. SH was always about bars on top of bars for the fans who love that type of thing. And no one has been rapping. That’s like “the spirit of the law” type of thing. But I also definitely question whether or not these folks were actually ever really a group, really that close, cause if so, they should have been able to figure out something more than this ten-plus years after their debut. Also, definitely not a fan of the way Royce handled it. Should have been a call before a post and a convo before a Live. That’s hoe shit, not G shit.

      1. Dawg, you broke this down beautifully. Bravo!!! I really hope cooler heads prevail and they get on a call and hash it out. I feel Crook and Joell but I feel they rushed this a bit more than they should have.

        1. It seems like maybe Joelle and Crook jumped the gun. But maybe not, they also seem pretty adamant that Royce and Joe clearly indicated nothing was gonna happen. Who knows tho I would love to see them work it out, although Joe went from being my favourite to rubbing me the wrong way all the time

      2. disagree. One, this isn’t a home its a group. Budden left the rap game. he retired. so that should dictate the groups name and forward movements come to an end? that’s like saying Ghostface is done with rap and now wu tang can’t use the name because he isn’t in it anymore. The group is allowed to move forward without ones who don’t want to be down with the movement. Its not like crooked and Joel denied their involvement or banned them. Budden has the characteristic traits of a narcissist. his logic isn’t rational half the time. he retired because his albums weren’t selling and he wasn’t getting praise for his work, which fuels a narcissist’s thirst. Who is budden to retire? lol i always found that a joke.

    12. Wu tang, g unit, outlawz, onyx, cypress hill, … Made albums with not all members, Joe and Royce are real losers that they don’t support this!

    13. They need some journalists that actually know what they are writing about smh. What kind of writer for a hip hop publication doesnt know slaughterhouse has more than 1 album or that joe was referring to the new album coming out not HARD. Editor needs to be fired as well.

    14. This article is riddled with errors. First of all, Ortiz didn’t ask Joe to check out “H.A.R.D.,” he was speaking about the new album.

Worse, this says they only released one album together. That’s totally false. They released a self-titled debut on E1 in 2009 before signing to Shady Records.

Plus, anyone that has done their homework knows there’s a completed third album, “Glass House” that was shelved but the group continued to record and perform together from 2009 through about 2017.

      Do better.

    15. Im gonna support the shit out of this album and hype it everywhere i can just because royce and budden are fucking clowns. I wasnt even going to listen to the album at all, but now i wish it goes fucking 5 times platinum
