JAY-Z’s “4:44” Album Has Arrived

After weeks of speculation and confusion surrounding the enigmatic number “4:44” and its connection to a massive marketing campaign that spanned the country, JAY-Z’s camp revealed it was indeed Hov’s 13th studio album — 4:44. The clock has finally hit that magic number and Mr. Shawn Carter’s highly anticipated project has arrived (exclusively to TIDAL and Sprint users) right on schedule.

Produced entirely by NO I.D., 4:44 marks Hov’s follow-up to 2013’s Magna Carta Holy Grail and is also the music mogul’s first solo studio album in four years, adding more fuel to the “4” fire.

Listed features come from Damian Marley, Frank Ocean and Jay’s own mother, Gloria Carter.

    1. somebody tell this old head take a step back from the mic…literally

sounding like he reading n sh!t

    2. Too late jay…bone thugs got the summer locked ..album is heat

No one but bone cant be old n make a hot fucking album give them their dues

    3. It’s very smooth laidback and introspective. He raps a lot about his thoughts. It’s a reflective album
(This is just off first listen)

    4. Very grown up album*good that he didn’t try and cater to the youngns*solid project*…jay fan since vol1 which doesn’t get its due imo*

    5. I never liked jay but I respected his flow and his sound because he has some cool shit to New York for me but to many people like him forme to say he’s trash i know he’s not and I do like some of his music it is real as fuck . But anyway I’m looking forward to this album because of the new shit is not me and he’s like the last of the old school that’s still really relevant. I feel like the old guy in Shaw shank redemption “brooks” jay is the last of the music i use to listen to . I am starting to apreciate jay more as an adult crazy shit jay is really one of the goats

    6. Any 1 hating on Jay is definitely a mumble rap era kid period… stop it 5! Jay is king.. f drake n err body else..they r 15yrs behind.. get with the program

    7. all of the songs are a 5 of 10 and all of them are average no hit in the album another album from jay z that everybody gone forget after a year like his last album but i got so much love for king hov still top 5 rapper of all time

    8. Classic. This album has redefined and breathed (much needed) fresh air back into hip-hop. How can we deny JAY-Z is not king. Here he stands alone on his throne and leads the charge to a new era of rap. The layers and depths of emotion from his insecurities and soul, the struggles and disfunctions of family life, his battle to be a faithful man. Jay opens the gate to the kingdom and it is not so glamorous as we perceive. We see queen B struggle with his husbands emotions, faith and communication issues. Beyoncé is not the strong and fierce woman she is portrayed. She chooses to stick by a womanizing and emotionally abusive man. An astonishing album that goes beyond the built up egos and facades. All these years Jay Z has depend on others, here he finally stands on his own and comes to age. JAY Z has Handed us the blueprint to true happiness and success. Family, responsibility, faith and love for one another. A classic and timeless masterpiece and maybe his best body of work to date.

      1. It just came out….you broke the whole album down in 5-6 hours? Damn. I’m sure the album dope tho.

    9. So Soulful???. $$$$$$$ Anyway, he sounds nothing like drake. If anything the beats sounds like Jcole beats.

    10. What’s up with his flow? boring as fuck. Last good thing overrated Jay dropped was two decades ago lmao, go cop that MC Eiht album.

    11. There’s plenty of other rappers the musicians that have been just as deep in just his grown-up making an album for everyone. It’s just all the Jeezy dick riders you think everything he does is amazing. Jay z is corny

    12. This album Jay Z is giving gems to the hustlers, not jut bragging but actual financial advice in “The Story of OJ” , Kill Jay Z is basically addressing how he felt when people he had loved for fucked him over, and how he look at ba things he done in the past now as a married person, this is an grown up album and this litle fuckers wont understand, i love it because is all facts and the production is amazing, feels like Kanye was behind the boards with No I.D., is amazing people go get that shit

    13. Since its only on tidal I’ll never hear it until it goes to Youtube or leaks. And to be honest Jay-z has fallen off musically. This is a dumb way to release your album cause you losing half the audience when u limit it tidal and sprint. I doubt this will be that big of a deal in a month nobody will care guaranteed.

    14. wait a minute jay drops his 1st dope album in years, and the jay stan aint here to get his shine?!?!?

    15. King HOV does it again. 4:44 is album of the year! This album will go down in history as one of the best of all time. All you hating broke ass Nas stans are shaking in your shoes right now. Ask Russell Simmons why King HOV keeps dropping classic after classic.

        1. Fuck you bitchmade hoe….yeah Em had a dope verse but he ain’t say shit about the hood or really anything real in hip hop fuckin devil worshipping, horses heads and cannibalism…. You gots to be aa dick riding stan if you think Em can get with Jay

      1. You’re like one of those Japanese soldiers in the Pacific Theatre, still fighting a war the rest of the world has moved on from.

      2. I’m a big time Nas stan but this album is straight fire. He made an album for the old heads and not catering to the younger gen.

        1. You can be a Nas fan and still like a Jay album. I wonder why fans do that. An artists beef don’t have nothing to do what happens in theirs lives. Plus if Nas and Jay got over it… you should be able to do that as well.

          1. For the love of the music indeed. Some wars ain’t for us and has nothing to do with us. Word indeed Universal Indie

      1. How many of Biggie’s rhymes are going to come out your fat lips??

First album I bought from Nas was Stillmatic as a 15-16 year old. Now I have his whole collection.

    16. Jay finally got back around to his soulful roots after that Magna Carter debacle. He’s not as sharp as he used to be, but he’s still good at what he does.

    17. jay- z again is following nas lead.
listen to life is good and listen to this.
jay is catering to a different audience. he is still following the leader…NAS

    18. If you all have such a hard on over this clown, you can listen to it on Power105 on iheartradio. Now you all can resume deep throating that fool.

    19. nas and jay deaded their beef in 05 why yall still hatin haha! The album is good, not his best but good
