DJ Khaled delivered his monster album, Grateful, at midnight on Friday (June 23), which features a song with Big Sean, Travis Scott and Rick Ross titled “On Everything.” The internet has evidently already had enough time with the 23-track project to surmise the I Decided. rapper could be throwing subliminal shots at Kendrick Lamar. Several Twitter users came to the conclusion that Sean’s verse is a response to alleged shots K. Dot fired at Sean on his critically acclaimed DAMN. album.
“Boy, I’m a Caesar, I see shit and seize it/ Roc-A-Fella chain, but you can still get Ethered/ Yeah, they don’t really fucking feel me man, but when you really run it they try and clip your Achilles/ I’m on track to a billi’, I got Khaled fuckin’ with me/ That mean I got the Holy Key and got the key to the city,” Sean spits.
The “Holy Key” reference is supposedly pointing to the Compton MC’s collaborative track, “Holy Key,” which appeared on Khaled’s last album, 2016’s Major Key.
Sean hasn’t mentioned anything about the allegation, but did write an Instagram post about the “On Everything” video. The possibility of the song being a diss track has spawned some hilarious posts from Hip Hop fans. Many believe Sean’s verse is one of the best this year while others warn Kendrick will “end” him. Only time will tell.
Check out some of the reactions below.
Sean is nice but Kendrick straight beasting on ’em niccas
sit down, lil sean
#Reach! Sean not aiming at K.Dot. He was ALSO on “Holy Key” he just rapping.
Big seans in kendricks arena… and kendrick started it with his control verse calling out big sean among many others so its seans response now that hes feeling confident enough good for big sean been fuckin with him awhile
LOL FOH with these fake “shots”. I’ll believe it when these fucking cowards actually name names, instead of pussy-footing around the so-called issues at hand.

*DEEP SIGH* Every corny Hip Hop site has been on this “Is Big Sean Dissing Kendrick On . . ?” just for clicks. Nowhere in his verse does it reference Kendrick. NOWHERE! Let people rap without always adding fuel to a nonexistent fire. F**king roaches! And y’all wonder why Hip Hop/Rap culture is so f***ed up, because everybody creates unnecessary drama for online traffic.

Anyone who thinks it’s a no-brainer that K-Dot will body Big Sean doesn’t know hip hop. Ppl sleep on big Sean, Hall of Fame was terrible but his last album was fire. Kendrick has put out some wack ass over hyped shit like TPAB and his untitled nonsense. Bottom line is big Sean has bars, it would be interesting to see what happens. Both are legit, stop hating on Sean Don
I’m in the minority when I say this but Kendrick is mediocre and even wack. Mediocre is me being generous. Wack is me being honest. Yes, your man “Kung Fu Kenny” is wack as shit.
Big Sean is better. Period.
Peace.
Dickrider
Actually, no. I’m not extensively well versed in either of their discographies. Just from a technical standpoint, Sean is better. I don’t think Sean is wack, even though I don’t bump his songs regularly. I do however think Kendrick is wack.
You mad? Kendrick putting money in your pockets?
Somebody tell Lil midget Sean to start RAPPING and developing a flow. All he does is TALK on his songs, and the worst part is his voice is monotone. PS: I hardly doubt Kdot is going to reply to those wack ass rhymes, a 10 year old can do better.
Kendrick has been too comfortable for too long
Kendrick WAY overrated.. i absolutely enjoyed Section 80 but from there, he is post 90’s good..
Lil Sean has a built of my 12 years old sister. Off topic: why can Travis Scott be considered as a rapper? To me, he’s a soft ass singer who can’t sing, hence the heavy auto-tune.
Big Sean’s best album can’t compete with a Kendrick album since Section .80 (2011). Big Sean has good bars, but he can’t put out a whole project on Kendrick’s level.
Y’all making shit up!! It’s summer time it’s plenty to do!!! Go outside cause this shit lame…zzzzzzzzzzzz *CLICKBAIT*
he doing tricks with her pussy, she a vagician ….that’s corny as fuck
They both throwing lil jabs at each other. I think Kendrick jabs stinging a little more than Sean’s.
Dont get why everyone thinks kendricks so crazy lol i could name 10+ rappers on his level its just the fact they dont get the marketing like him and some wont sell out to the mainstream because there souls and creative control are important to them even in mainstream rap lets see we got eminem j cole big sean and have any of you people ever heard of papoose? Papoose is a straight fucking beast has as many flows as kenny if not more and lyrically is a fucking beast people need to grt off kendricks dick yea hes crazy but trust me theres just as crazy and crazier out there if your willing to look further than a radio station or the front page of youtube
The fact you wrote all of that and then the artist you chose was Papoose (*bangs head against the wall*) just proves disproves your whole argument. The reason Papoose is not at the level of Kendrick is not because of marketing!… Same applies to Lupe Fiasco or other members of TDE or the usual culprits etc etc.
Kendrick has consistently put out creative, original, diverse bodies of work that push boundaries. That is just a fact however you look at it. Check the Mass Appeal article where they rank every Kendrick Lamar song best to worst, that is not hype, that is real!
Just for the record, Im not a Kendrick stan. I do think he’s very talented and puts out great bodies of work but he’s not my favourite MC ever. I thought DAMN was overhyped BUT still a great record, I think TPAB deserved the hype it got. He deserves to be where he is right now because of the work and growth he has shown since Section 80
Let me guess man and drake and the weekend are your favorite picks for the ride to work right?
Haha that’s the simplest bars ever. How does anyone think this guy is an elite mc?!?!
You know what bars are? And its not always bars that make a song either…
Can’t say I didn’t see this one coming.. Lol
dude…..these bars are child’s play…. I’m serious man…. wow…. i mean even check my ish out it just came out on intunes and everywhere else – Blue Collar “Pet Falcon” this is some herb shittt right here…. Peace out from Los Angeles
I want to slap the hell out of that ugly Arab baby. I hate the towel heads and whites. Jordan faceK.
Love when ppl try comparing rappers by taking one guy’s worst lines to illustrate how shit he is and taking the other’s best to show his greatness when in fact both have amazing and terrible lines, songs, and even entire albums. Both are fantastic, both are very capable of letting you down.
PS. K-Dot fans need to chill down there, got some ridiculous comments below me right now.
New interview Coolio about Kendrick Lamar: youtube.com/watch?v=cAPOKzKAiPk&t
It’s a stretch to say he was dissing K.Dot. Your only evidence, or reference, is a track that Sean and Dot previously did for Khaled. He could have just as easily just been making a reference to it because it just happens to be his previous, and still most recent, work with Khaled. I need more to go on, DX, than just that.
Sorry but lil sean is corny!
Kendrick will destroy him. That’s like ludacris trying to battle Jay-Z in the early 2000’s.
Sean is out of his league.
