Last week, the two surviving members of the 80’s-famed group The Fat Boys teamed up with the American Cancer Society and their Relay For Life [click to read]. While they both made a commitment to promoting healthy living, member Kool Rock-Ski has also recently made a musical comeback with a new EP.

Entitled Party Time, the four-track EP features new music from a rapper that was and still is known for his lyrical presence. Including collaborations with Jay-Z [click to read] on “We Can Talk,” and T-Pain on “Stop Playing With Yourself,” Rock-Ski has integrated his timeless skills with the Hip Hop and R&B greats of today.

Along with his new EP, Rock-Ski has also put a lot work in the gym, with his weight currently at 175 pounds. With that said, it’s his music that makes him grateful for the career he has had thus far. “I’m blessed after 20 years to still feel the love of my fans,”Rock-Ski explained in a press statement.

Coalmine Records has recently released their mixtape-album The Foundation [click to read]. Entirely produced by German beat smith Shuko, The Foundation features new and previously released verses from a plethora of Hip Hop’s most cherished emcees including Talib Kweli [click to read], Skyzoo, Canibus, Chino XL, Rakim, and Torae [click to read]. The mixtape-album is hosted by Heltah Skeltah [click to read], and mixed by DJ Dutchmaster.

In other news, missiong.com has begun an animated web series called “BLOKHEDZ” . The series follows the ambitions of an aspiring rapper Young Blak, who also acts a superhero in disguise. Alongside his crew the G-Pak, Blak makes his way to an underground emcee battle, where he attempts to beat the top rapper in his city.

As the webisodes are already co-signed by the likes of rapper Nas and comic book legend Stan Lee, “BLOKHEDZ” also features Hip Hop stars such as Talib Kweli and The RZA [click to read], and background music created by producer DJ Khalil.
