Much like his 2008 release Trilla [click to read], Rick RossDeeper Than Rap has been pushed back [click to read].

The album was slated for a March 24 release. Now, a representative from Def Jam says that the album will be hitting stores at a later date – much like rival 50 Cent‘s [click to read].

There’s no shortage of controversy surrounding the album, as beef between 50 Cent and Ross resulted from Ross’ song “Mafia Music” [click to listen]. However, it doesn’t appear that the beef was enough to get the album in stores in a timely fashion.

Ross‘ previous album suffered delays due to lukewarm responses for the lead single. It is unclear at this point whether the same is true for Deeper Than Rap‘s lead single, “Cigar Music” [click to listen].
