Rick RossTrilla has been pushed and instead will be released on Feb. 19th. The project was originally scheduled to be part of an already crowded fourth quarter lineup, as Def Jam intended to release it on Dec. 18 but this may fare better for Ross.

While the Runners produced single “Hustlin” helped Port of Miami work its way to platinum – peaking at number 11 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop chart with 722,000 copies sold too date – Ross hasn’t been able to repeat his success this time around.

“Speedin,'” the first single to be released from Trilla is currently at number 76 the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop chart, and has shown little progress since its release. Def Jam hopes pushing the release date back will give the project more time to develop.
