Loud.com, along with SRC Records CEO Steve Rifkind [click to read] recently declared Kaze and LF Daze, the winners of their rapper challenge while DXnext alum J Cardim [click to read] took home the producer challenge reward by himself.
The international producer who has been making records from Rio de Janiero to New York City, J Cardim, took home $15,000. Cardim released his debut album Your Favorite Rapper’s Favorite Producer last month and the compilation includes appearances from Lil Wayne, Styles P [click to read], Wale and many others. Along with the $15,000 Cardim received a three song deal with SRC Records.
The contest ranged ten weeks and included thousands of contestants who had to do tasks from rapping over new tracks to putting on a show to remixing hits. Kaze, who hails from North Carolina and Philadelphia native LF Daze split $100,000 as well, earned record deals with SRC.
In other news, DJ Class, aka Daniel Woods, landed his own records deal this week as he signed with Universal Republic and Unruly Production. The Baltimore club deejay, did not compete in a contest rather he singed with Universal after the success of his single “I’m the Ish,” which was released this past November. Next on Class’s schedule is the release of his debut album titled, Alameda & ColdSpring this year.

Class was elated with the decision and sees the deal as his opportunity to bring his music style to the masses.
