A$AP Rocky has issued a response to former A$AP Mob member A$AP Relli, who filed a lawsuit in August claiming Rocky shot him during an altercation last year.
The suit filed by Relli (real name Terell Ephron) claims Rocky intentionally shot him last November, and seeks monetary damages for claims of assault, battery, negligence, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Rocky denied all allegations against him in a filing to the Los Angeles County Superior court on Thursday (September 15), claiming any injuries or damages, “were caused solely, directly and proximately by the negligent and/or intentional acts or omissions” of someone else.
It also accuses A$AP Relli — a talent manager and producer who Rocky had previously credited with introducing him to A$AP Mob – of failing to “exercise reasonable care to avoid the consequences of harm.”

“Answering defendant generally denies each and every allegation of the complaint, and specifically denies that plaintiff has been damaged in any amount or in any way as a result of any act or omission of answering defendant,” Rocky’s answer stated, which was obtained by Rolling Stone.
Relli’s initial filing stated that A$AP Rocky asked to meet him at a random location in Hollywood, California on November 6, 2021, and that when he arrived the “D.M.B.” rapper “initiated a verbal altercation.”
“During this altercation and while in close physical proximity to the plaintiff, the defendant pulled out a handgun and purposefully pointed it in the direction of the plaintiff and fired multiple shots,” the lawsuit states. Relli claimed to have been “struck by bullet projectile/fragments” in his left hand and had to seek medical attention.
“Unbeknownst to Mr. Ephron, A$AP Rocky was not just planning for a conversation and came armed with a semi-automatic handgun,” his civil lawyers Jamal Tooson and Brian Hurwitz said in a previous statement. “After arriving at the location, a conversation ensued whereby without provocation, warning, or any justification, A$AP Rocky produced the handgun and intentionally fired multiple shots at Mr. Ephron.”

Relli’s legal team said the entire incident was captured by nearby surveillance cameras, which supports a previous report that the LAPD had seized footage of the shooting.
Tooson and Hurwitz added that their client has suffered “multiple death threats and irreparable harm to his career in the entertainment industry as a result of this incident.” They expect the civil matter to go to trial.
Rocky had briefly appeared in an L.A. courtroom last month when his attorney Sara L. Caplan entered his not guilty plea to two counts of using a semiautomatic firearm to assault Reli. Rocky, who is currently out on a $550,000 bond, faces up to nine years in prison if convicted.
As previously reported, the Harlem rapper was arrested in April shortly after arriving at Los Angeles International Airport and charged with assault with a deadly weapon.
