Earlier this week, Diplomats affiliate Max B announced his signing with Boston’s Amalgam Digital label. The imprint is also home to Peedi Crakk, Tash and Joe Budden [click to read]. The signing comes less than three months after the Harlem-based rapper was shot [click to read].
The announcement comes the week that Max‘s former group, The Byrd Gang, releases their debut album on Asylum Records. Max B claims to have written Jim Jones‘ biggest hit “We Fly High,” one of the issues prompting a falling out between the two.
The agreement will allow Amalgam to release Public Domain 3: Domain Pain, Max‘s Dame Grease-executive produced mixtape. This will be the precursor to Vigilante Season. The deal encompasses three total releases, one of which will be entirely digital.
