Trippie Redd Makes Case For Current Rap G.O.A.T. By Flexing Gold & Platinum Plaques

During a guest appearance on Power 106.1, Roddy Ricch was asked to speak on who he believed to be the G.O.A.T. rappers under 25, and in turn listed Kodak Black, NBA YoungBoy and himself. NLE Choppa immediately took offense to not being included, and now Trippie Redd wants to be a part of the conversation as well.

Earlier this week, Trippie casually flexed his plaques on Instagram, showcasing the 43 gold and platinum certifications he’s received from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) throughout his career. Many of the plaques derived from his 2019 album A Love Letter To You 4, which itself is certified platinum.

The Ohio native wasn’t alone in his assertion, with CyHi The Prynce and IDK among those applauding Trippie’s success in DJ Akademiks’ Instagram comments section.

Trippie Redd also just signed a massive deal with 10K Projects worth $30 million and celebrated by buying a $7.5 million Florida estate, so needless to say he’s been winning a lot recently.

“We launched 10K Projects as a label where artists have complete creative freedom and the support to realize their vision,” 10K Projects founder Elliot Grainge said in March. “Trippie Redd has thrived under these conditions, releasing a lifetime’s worth of music in just five short years and becoming a singular voice in contemporary music. I know I speak for everyone at the label when I say I am so honored and humbled to be able to continue our extraordinary partnership with Trippie for years to come.”

Trippie Redd added, “Elliot signed me when I was 16. From the start, he’s always pushed me to do everything on my own terms which is the most important thing to me. I’m grateful to have had him as a partner for this long and excited to make more hits with 10K and keep growing together.”

    1. This is what y’all get for lying to these pill popping leaning zombies. They really started believing they were talented artists. Now they calling themselves GOATS. No street anthems, no battle record, no tough bars; just some plaques and diamonds and to them that means they’re GOATED.

      1. I’m with you. I’ve probably heard someone playing him before and I still don’t know his voice if I heard him right now

    2. Doesnt the AT in GOAT stand for “ALL TIME” ? These kids are all under 25 so by default they cant be GOATs. They havent lived long enough, or even died to see posthumous success. Digital destroyed the numbers game. These singing rappers would have flopped in the CD era where you had to cough up $15 and go to a store to buy a physical CD.

    3. I can honestly say I wouldn’t be able to name a Trippie Redd song without having to Google it.. These days they think that platinum sales means they’re at GOAT status.. I don’t know anyone who even listens to his music let alone buying the shit

    4. Lmao all these oldheads in the comments are killing me ? no one gives a fuck about CDs, that shit is old just like you. It’s streaming era, no one finna walk up to store to buy a fucking album. People would rather stream music and that’s why Trippie Redd has so many plaques, hw has 17 mil monthly listeners that stream his music on daily basis and just cuz you or your old friends who are 40+ don’t know his songs doesn’t mean younger people don’t listen to him.
