Television personality Carson Daly and Loud Records CEO Steve Rifkin recently announced Daly will have a label to be distributed and marketed by the hip-hop label. According to a press statement, the label will not cater to any particular genre of music.

“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to run my own label,” Daly said via the statement. “I’m always looking for new sounds, and my label will allow me to share some of the hottest up-and-coming talent with the world.” Loud’s Jonathan Rifkin, Executive VP, took notice to Daly’s ear for talent when he was a DJ in California and with his highly successful television endeavors on MTV.

“With Carson’s worldwide popularity and his genuine love and knowledge of music, this venture should definitely be a blockbuster,” Steve Rifkind said. “We’re betting that he’ll be able to attract the best talent from across the globe, from rock to hip-hop.” Daly and Loud intend to make the deal a long term one. Also it won’t all be hip-hop some rock will be on Carson’s label.
