Veteran Hip Hop scholar and iconic member of the group The Roots has high praises for Action Bronson’s new album.

On Friday (April 29), rap luminary Questlove hopped on Twitter to reveal that the Queens lyricist and Fuck That’s Delicious creator caught him off guard with his new 10-track release, while also explaining his belief that the project is a standout out within Bronson’s discography.

“Wow. Was NOT expecting to be THIS mind blown over this new Bronson jawn. This [Crocodile emoji] jawn might be his most solid offering as an LP,” Questlove wrote.

It appears Questlove isn’t the only rap music head to approve of Action Bronson’s lyrical effort on the nautical follow-up to his 2020 Only For Dolphins album. Andre Barber, the founder of Hip Hop media platform Fake Shore Drive, also tweeted his excitement in regards to Cocodrillo Turbo, remarking about how cinematic the lyricism is throughout the album.

“New Action Bronson album on repeat, it’s so good. he really made a whole crocodile movie in audio form,” Barber wrote.

Questlove, who recently won an Oscar in the Best Music Film category for his Summer of Soul documentary, has been fairly outspoken, as of late, regarding his criticism of artists, their music, and the way they utilize their influence. Last year, the Grammy award-winning musician didn’t hold back on his thoughts about DaBaby’s infamous homophobic rant during Rolling Loud music festival and went as far as labeling the “Rockstar” rapper’s remarks as “fucked up and wrong.”

Earlier this month, he also refuted the claim GQ made with their May issue, which proclaims Future, who also just released his album I Never Liked You, is currently the best rapper alive.
