Lil Baby and Ed Sheeran got the internet talking this morning as they danced in the Ukrainian streets for the remix music video of “2step,” Sheeran’s latest single, but the singer-songwriter added the film was shot before the war began.

“I filmed the video for 2step in the city of Kyiv, Ukraine before the devastating acts of violence started to take place,” Sheeran wrote as a disclaimer at the beginning of the video. “It was my very first time visiting the country and I felt so welcomed during my stay there.

“Ukraine is a proud and resilient country and I’m grateful to have had the chance to film my video there,” he added. He then wrote in the video’s teaser that although it was his first time there, he “quickly loved the people and the place. There was no sign of the horror that was to come to Ukraine and my heart goes out to everyone there.”

Lil Baby uses his verse to convey these good vibes as he raps about a memorable night out he had with his love interest.

“Sun comin’ up when we walk out, we lost the track of time/Everything that I’d been dealin’ with ain’t even crossed my mind/I don’t see nobody in here but us, for real, for you I’m blind/We go anywhere, it don’t take much for us to catch a vibe,” he raps.

Sheeran concluded his PSA by saying the video’s streaming proceeds will all be donated to the Disasters Emergency Committee’s Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.

Lil Baby is the latest rapper to give the pop star his flowers. Kodak Black previously revealed he’s also cooking up a song with the red-headed singer.
