Chance The Rapper has collaborated with a whole host of R&B stars including SZA, John Legend, Ty Dolla $ign, Jeremih and R. Kelly, but one singer who has yet to join that list is Keyshia Cole — and she isn’t too happy about it.

On Tuesday (March 29), one of Cole’s 695,000 Twitter followers dug up an old tweet from Chance hollering at the Oakland native and brought it to her attention.

“YO! Anyone who supports my music and is a homie help me out with a tweet that say ‘ Yo, @KeyshiaCole, Chance says hi ‘!” read the tweet from March 2013, just weeks before his breakthrough mixtape Acid Rap dropped (and crashed the popular Chicago Hip Hop blog FakeShoreDrive).

Despite his fandom, Keyshia Cole has a bone to pick with Chance The Rapper. According to the Just Like You singer, she reached out to the Chicago wordsmith about working on music together (when, exactly, is unclear), but he curved her request.

“Now I get why he shaded me when I text him about a song,” she replied to the fan while putting a crying face and folded hands emoji.

Chance, however, begs to differ. After catching wind of Keyshia Cole’s tweet, he replied, “U musta text someone else” along with a thinking face emoji.

Chance The Rapper made his return to music last week with a new single called “Child of God” featuring Moses Sumney. Accompanying the song was a painting created by Gabonese artist Naïla Opiangah, which is currently on display at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago.

“Child of God” kickstarted the rollout for Chance’s first album in three years, which could feature additional appearances from Vic Mensa and Smino. Whether Keyshia Cole will also make a cameo remains to be seen.
