The start of a new year often means reassessing one’s life, whether that’s vowing to eat healthier and lose weight, earn that promotion or spend more time with family and friends. In Keyshia Cole‘s case, 2022 is all about cutting out meat.
Earlier this week, the R&B singer and TV personality took to Twitter to share her New Year’s resolutions. And aside from setting herself typical goals such as quitting smoking, drinking less and getting more water into her diet, Cole announced she’s going on a “no dick” detox.
“No alcohol. No dick. No smoking. And trying to drink a liter of water a day,” she wrote in response to a tweet about a 90-day alcohol and meat detox featuring a meme of former South African president Thabo Mbeki. “Oh and take my vitamins everyday. Oh while maintaining no attitude.”
Keyshia’s drastic lifestyle changes received support from fans, with one writing, “She’s gonna feel so much better! Love this for her” in The Shade Room‘s comments section. Another commented, “Good luck baby. I’m rooting for you and give tips when the time period ends.”

However, not everyone was impressed by her 2022 goals — especially the “no dick” part. “Girl allat is hard as hell to do without catching a body,” one fan joked, while another wrote, “Dang Keisha no d!ck? Girl you wilding.”
The “Heaven Sent” singer was last seen boo’d up with a muscular mystery man, who used Moneybagg Yo’s “Wockesha” lyrics to “stamp” his claim on her, although it’s unclear if the couple are still together.

Keyshia Cole is making more big changes to kickstart 2022. The Oakland, California native signed a global deal with the prestigious Creative Artists Agency (CAA) in all areas, it was announced on Tuesday (January 11).

The deal comes after a resurgent 2021 for Cole thanks to the release of her first single in four years, “I Don’t Wanna Be in Love,” and Verzuz battle with Ashanti, which drew a reported 1.1 million viewers despite being postponed twice due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Cole is currently working on the follow-up to 2017’s 11:11 Reset, which might just be her final album.
