Memphis rapper Moneybagg Yo is starting 2022 on a sobriety push.
In a tweet he shared Tuesday (January 4), Moneybagg Yo revealed his 2022 New Year’s resolution would be to remain steadfast in his decision to kick the cup and quit sipping lean.
“I use to think being sober would fuck wit my creative process, I see dats just a mind thing cuz I been more active skin glowing and I been dropping nun but pressure [Fire emoji] #NomoWockesha [Upward trend graph emoji].” he wrote on Twitter.

Moneybagg Yo is choosing to move on from his habit of drinking lean following the success of his fourth studio album, A Gangsta’s Pain, which went No. 1 on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart twice last year and featured his syrup-sippin “Wockesha” anthem.
The track peaked at No. 33 on the Hot 100 Chart and spawned Moneybagg’s collaborations with Ashanti and Lil Wayne for the “Wockesha (Remix).”
He is also joining forces with rappers such as Kodak Black who also kicked his drug addiction last month after he successfully completed a 90-day treatment program in accordance with a court mandate ordered last September.
The pair of lyricists appear to have linked up for a studio session on Monday night after Kodak Black voiced his frustrations with Kanye West on IG because the DONDA MC didn’t follow through with plans for a meeting on Sunday.
