Fat Joe has put on numerous times regarding Hip Hop and fashion, famously licking the sole of a pair of Air Jordan 7s for an episode of MTV Cribs. But like all things in the name of streetwear and being fresh, the Bronx rapper’s latest fit has everyone clowning him.
Ahead of an impending snowstorm in New York on Friday (January 28), Joe stepped out rocking a pink hoodie with a tan-colored military jacket, a pair of blue jeans and boots, with the pants legs tucked into the boot. It may not have been Joe’s freshest moment, but he was warm in his defense.
“Waiting on the snow,” he captioned the post on Instagram.
Almost immediately, friends and collaborators such as N.O.R.E. and DJ Khaled jumped in Joe’s comments to offer their opinion.
“U went to far lol,” N.O.R.E wrote with four flame emojis attached.
Khaled echoed the Drink Champs host’s sentiments, “Wow u really live a life naw but for real !”
While DJ Clue asked the most New York question of why Joe wasn’t wearing Timbs but instead rocked the boots, and Jazze Pha joked about yesterday’s boots not being today’s boots, others such as Remy Ma and Tony Sunshine gave Joe his props.
“Why you doing em like that!” Sunshine exclaimed while Remy proclaimed the fit as simply fire.
The clowning on Instagram was a stark contrast to how Joe was received when he, Khaled and Jadakiss were gifted a pair of Louis Vuitton Air Force 1s as part of Nike’s collaboration with the famed fashion house and the late Virgil Abloh.

Joe understood why the jokes were flying about his winter fit and shared a couple of the memes on Instagram, from him posing with a lightsaber, Affion Crockett, a Wookie, Mad Max and more.
“Nah y’all gotta relax,” he laughed.
