2021 HipHopDX Rising Star Morray is all about paying it forward after the amazing year he’s had.

Prior to signing to Interscope Records, Morray saw his breakout hit “Quicksand” reach No. 65 on the Billboard Hot 100 and capture the attention of JAY-Z and J. Cole, the latter who was so impressed with the Rookie of the Year nominee, he put Morray on both his tour and platinum-selling album.

Morray capped off his year with not one but two Grammy nominations thanks to the J. Cole feature, “my.life.”

Despite surprising the natives, it was Fayetteville Mayor Mitch Colvin who shocked both the Street Sermons orator and Vic Blends with keys to the city for their dedication to the people.

“The key is to always give back,” Morray responded on Instagram.

The event was in conjunction with non-profit organization The Two-Six Project, which helped supply the hundreds of kids in attendance with food, winter clothes, and even more Christmas gifts.
