Filipino boy band SB19’s hip hop-driven new single, “Bazinga,” continues to dominate the internet—and lands the phenomenal group again on Billboard charts.

The track has made it into Billboard’s Hot Trending Songs charts last Friday (November 5), landing on the 5th spot and peaking into the 3rd spot, following K-pop phenom BTS and NCT 127 with “Butter” and “Favorite,” respectively.

The Twitter-powered Hot Trending Songs charts tracks “global music-related trends and conversations in real-time across Twitter, viewable over either the last 24 hours or past seven days… [and] highlight[s] buzz around new releases” among other hot topics on the microblogging platform.

Today (November 9), the high-powered SB19 single is currently sitting at the 5th spot, with 913,000 mentions and an 11k% increase from the past week.

Premiering on YouTube on October 29, “Bazinga” is currently trending #4 in the Philippines, with nearly 2 million views as of writing. HipHopDX Asia staff writer Sofia Guanzon described the single as “highlight[ing] the versatility of each member by affording them respective parts in the song to stand out and deliver its ethos according to their interpretations.”

The groundbreaking Pinoy act made up of Josh, Pablo, Stell, Ken, and Justin are also nominated for Best Southeast Asia Act at the 2021 MTV EMAs (Europe Music Awards), which will be held in Hungary on Sunday, November 14. SB19 has also earned the distinction to become the first Filipino and Southeast Asian act nominated at the Billboard Music Awards under the Top Social Act category.
