Bow Wow once lead the Los Angeles Knights to the playoffs as Calvin Cambridge in Like Mike, and he might be looking to do it again. Responding to fan questions on Twitter Wednesday (September 8), Bow Wow teased a Like Mike sequel in the works 19 years following 2002’s original.

“We are working on a like mike sequel,” he wrote. “Its all just ideas as if now. But yes we have been talking. So far so good.”

It might not be Bow Wow as the main character and he’s looking to change the title from Like Mike to possibly being like another NBA superstar, but he stopped short of mentioning exactly who else will be involved when a fan suggested his daughter actually star in the film.

He continued, “Shhhhh….. another gem ima drop. It wont be called LIKE MIKE. But LIKE someone. We are taking our time with this one. I believe this mite be bigger than original. Cant wait.”

There was also the Bow Wow-less sequel with Like Mike 2: Streetball releasing in 2006 as a direct-to-video movie. The film was largely panned by critics and did not include any of the original cast members or continue its plot events.
