2 Chainz knows a thing or two about rhyming. Fans and critics have admired the Atlanta rap star’s slick metaphors and funny punchlines for years, and 2 Chainz continues to up the ante with his bars each chance he gets.

On Thursday (August 5), 2 Chainz bumped into UFC fighter Conor McGregor, and the two decided to pose for a quick photoshoot for their fans on Instagram. 2 Chainz posted a set of two pictures with a simple caption explaining the random meet-up. McGregor, on the other hand, praised 2 Chainz’s lyrical prowess in his caption.

“Me and lyrical genius @2chainz,” McGregor wrote under the picture of him and 2 Chainz posing in what appears to be a lobby.

In another post, McGregor supported his claim that 2 Chainz is a lyrical genius by revealing his favorite verse by the So Help Me God rapper in the caption. Of all the bars that 2 Chainz has spit in his career, McGregor opted for one of his more straightforward rhymes as a favorite.

“‘She got a big booty so I call her big booty’ – @2chainz,” McGregor wrote. “That’s the goat lyric of all time ya’s mad fools hahahahahaah classic #bigbooty.”

2 Chainz’s bars aren’t the only things Conor McGregor loves about Hip Hop culture. McGregor’s nickname “The Notorious One” is inspired by the late Biggie Smalls. Before his fight at UFC 205 in 2018, McGregor even wore a Coogi sweater similar to the one the Brooklyn legend would wear.

“Stay far from timid, only make moves when your hearts in it, and live the phrase sky’s the limit – The Notorious B.I.G,” McGregor wrote in the caption of an Instagram post with him wearing the colorful sweater.
