Malibu, CA

Diddy acted like the rap version of Nick Fury and assembled a Hip Hop equivalent of the Avengers out in Malibu over the weekend. The Hip Hop mogul linked up with Travis Scott, Nas, Quavo and Swizz Beatz out on the beach in California on Saturday (August 22).

The actual motive behind the star-studded gathering hasn’t been publicly revealed as Diddy simply posted a photo of the group together on Instagram. Everyone involved didn’t seem to be concerned with social distancing or wearing masks though despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

While these heavy hitters in the industry may have been plotting some new music or another creative endeavor, it’s also possible they were simply celebrating the release of Nas’ new album King’s Disease.

The legendary MC dropped this 13th studio LP and the follow-up to 2019’s The Lost Tapes 2 compilation on Friday (August 21).

Joe Budden Blames Nas' Kanye West Album For Initial 'King's Disease' Skepticism

In addition to his group photo, Diddy shared a few Instagram pictures of himself and Nas to promote the project’s arrival. The “Hate Me Now” collaborators were shown together enjoying some wine and a good laugh.

“ULTRA BLACK,” Diddy wrote in the caption, referencing the title of the album’s lead single. “@nas ‘King’s Disease’ out now!”

King’s Disease was executive produced by Hit-Boy and released through Nas’ Mass Appeal Records. The LP featured a reunion of The Firm plus collaborations with Big Sean, Anderson .Paak, A$AP Ferg and more.
