Nas Chalks Up His Doja Cat Diss To Just Rhymes: ‘It’s All Love’

Nas turned a few heads when he released “Ultra Black” from his King’s Disease album on August 14 when he rapped, “We going ultra black, unapologetically black/The opposite of Doja Cat, Michael Blackson black.”

The barb caused fans to wonder whether a Nas versus Doja Cat beef would take place, but Nas has officially cleared the air and said it was “all love.”

“I just was really saying a rhyme that rhymed with ‘ultra black’,” Nas told Los Angeles’ Power 106 on Saturday (August 22). “I rhymed that word with ‘ultra black,’ I didn’t even think of it. It’s all love, it’s all love, you know what I’m sayin’? It was like ‘Michael Blackson black.'”

Hit-Boy added, “It literally is, Doja Cat’s the opposite of Michael Blackson. That’s how I looked at it.”

“It’s bars. It’s lines,” Nas concluded. “We play with words, man.”

The line regarding Doja prompted fans to revisit the “Say So” singer’s appearances on Tiny Chat, a chatroom website known to be home to White supremacists and other radical groups. They also rediscovered a song released by Doja titled “Dindu Nuffin,” a slur used on racist message boards to discredit Black victims of police brutality. She promptly denied she was racist in an Instagram apology and many perceived Nas’ slight towards her as the Queensbridge rapper attacking her over her perceived self-hate.

Doja Cat Is Dropping A Song Called 'N.A.S' Following 'Ultra Black' Diss

In the midst of the “Ultra Black” controversy, Doja revealed she was initially unbothered by the song, asking fans if they’d d heard “Fruit Salad” by Australian band The Wiggles. She later gave fans an update on August 21, saying she planned on releasing a song of her own titled “N.A.S.”

“The song that I have coming out is called ‘N.A.S.,’ but only if you abbreviate it,” she said in a clip. “It’s three words. Abbreviate. Which is funny. It’s kinda nice ’cause that was before the fact. If you know what I’m talking about, you know what I’m talking about. If you don’t, you don’t.”

Nas shared King’s Disease, his 12th studio album on August 21. The album, produced entirely by Hit-Boy, features guest appearances from Big Sean, Don Toliver, Lil Durk, Fivio Foreign, Charlie Wilson, Anderson .Paak, A$AP Ferg and the reunion of The Firm supergroup — AZ, Cormega, Foxy Brown and Dr. Dre.

    1. It also was just facts. The bitch hates being black, and the song was about loving being black. Shit somehow turned into Ether 2020 because lame people write about hip hop culture.

      1. Yes, that’s kind of how this whole hip hop thing works. You know, lyrics, wordplay and great content. Guess mumble rap turned your brain to mush.

    2. No, Nas, it’s too late. You dissed Doja Cat and now she has a savage response track coming out that’s about to nail the final coffin in your should-be-dead-already career. This broke loser trying to change face and not lose his little pop fan base that he built with Justin Bieber, Lil Nas X and BTS. The teeny bopper fans are already cancelling him like crazy right now. King HOV has a new song that should make everyone forget about Nas and his garbage album. It’s the ROC in here!

      1. Except his new album is better than anything he’s put out in years lmao the Jay-Z song was aight but the Nas album was actually fire. Imagine thinking Doja Cat can drop a fire diss track LOL

    3. c’mon now, y’all need to stop writing that tinychat is a chatroom website “known to be home to White supremacists and other radical groups.” because it’s not any different than facebook, instagram, snapchat, reddit, twitch, twitter, or any other social media platform.

    4. Salut the King Nas! Even if the Doja Cat line were a diss, no-one in hip-hop is above getting checked by an OG so it is what it is. She’s made some controversial statements regarding race in the past so she shouldn’t be mislead into believing that she’s immune to criticism.

    5. I bet Nas ain’t even that nasty. I bet he wouldn’t even kiss me if I dared him too. Broke ass Nas.

    6. The jooish supremacists got this schwartz goyim apologising fast and backtracking all that slick talk of his.. fuckin piece of shit gentile he don’t have the right to speak ill of god’s chosen people.. fuckin anti-semitic, black piece of shit.

      1. Ah yes, Wikipedia. The most reliable source of information on the Internet. It’s not like anyone can edit and tweak up articles or anything on there.
