Atlanta-based rapper blctxt has dropped a new video for his King I Divine-produced song “Nothing Takes” featuring Free Phareal. The cut is the title track from his recently released project Nothing Takes, which arrived earlier this month.
“The title ‘Nothing Takes’ is a mantra I live by: ‘Nothing takes something to prove, when everybody doubts you it’s nothing to lose,'” blctxt tells HipHopDX. “King I Divine is the master behind this beautiful beat. We added a few elements of live bass guitar and synth strings to help fill the empty spaces. Putting Free Phareal on the chorus was a no brainer to take this song to the next level. I hope everyone can use this record to push through tough times and power up.”
