DJ Khaled may have lost the first-week sales battle to Tyler, The Creator, but he’s proudly boasting about surpassing the Odd Future founder in their second week on the charts.

Khaled posted a screenshot of Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip Hop albums chart for the week of June 8, 2019 on Instagram to brag about having Hip Hop’s best-selling LP. He also took a jab at the music bundles that reportedly helped Tyler’s IGOR initially top Khaled’s Father Of Asahd.

“Fan Luv thank you for all your love and support,” he wrote. “We got the #1 Hip Hop album in the country this week! #FATHEROFASAHD TO THE WORLD! LION ORDER ? @wethebestmusic @rocnation @epicrecords ANOTHER ONE ! SUMMER IS OURS !”

Khaled added, “I’m in the music bizz not bundle bizz.”

Last week, Khaled uploaded and quickly deleted a social media clip in which he voiced his frustration over Father Of Asahd’s failure to debut at No. 1. His message also featured a thinly veiled jab at Tyler, the man who claimed the top spot.

“I make albums so people can play it,” he said. “And you actually hear it. You know, driving your car you hear another car playing it. Go to the barber shop, you hear them playing it. You know, turn the radio on, and you hear them playing it. It’s playing everywhere – it’s called great music. It’s called albums that you actually hear the songs. Not no mysterious shit and you never hear it.”

Tyler reacted by laughing at the situation, but Khaled appears to be taking it very seriously.

A recent Page Six report claims his attorneys have threatened to sue Billboard after the media brand didn’t count Father Of Asahd downloads from a bundle deal with an energy drink. However, Tyler’s IGOR bundles were counted toward his sales total.
