Producer Alexander Lewis delivers the first offering from his upcoming Red EP, a triumphant single featuring B Anderson titled, “Win The War.” The track harnesses Lewis’ impressive trombone skills and the energy of an 8-piece band, giving it the vibrancy of a live performance.

Although it was his first time collaborating with Dallas-bred rapper B Anderson, Lewis says they hit their stride almost immediately.

“The second he got to my crib we went into the studio and after only a few minutes of playing around with melodies on my trombone, B had the hook to ‘Win The War’ sketched out,” Lewis tells HipHopDX. “After about an hour we had a full concept done.”

The upbeat energy of the multi-dimensional track is a good notion of what’s to come in Lewis’ forthcoming EP.

“‘Win the War’ is about overcoming obstacles, pushing boundaries and coming out on top,” he explains. “It’s for everyone facing a challenge and taking it head-on. We’ve both had our fair share of setbacks in this industry, but we’re both in it for the long haul. Every loss prepared us for victory. Red EP is a victory and we consider this record a win.”

Red EP arrives this summer and will follow up Lewis’ 2018 album, OMNI., and his recent production on Juice WRLD’s Death Race For Love cut, “Big.”
