The intention was good, but the execution? That was terrible. When Australian publication, The Herald Sun, ran a print article on the news DMX had been released from prison, they made one major blunder — they used a photo of Run-DMC legend Darryl “DMC” McDaniels.

Despite the mistake, The Herald Sun has yet to issue any kind of correction on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or its website.

The “X Gon’ Give It To Ya” legend was released from Gilmer Federal Correctional Institution on Friday (January 25) after serving roughly one year for tax evasion. It’s unclear when The Herald Sun ran the story.

Commenters roasted the publication for the oversight. Comments range from “fake news” accusations to “don’t you know how to use Google?”
