Paris, France

As promised, Parisian attorney Raquel Chiche has filed a defamation lawsuit against Chris Brown’s rape accuser.

TMZ reports Chiche filed a complaint on Thursday (January 24) alleging a “false accusation” as well as a criminal statute relating to invasion of privacy. If convicted on the charges, the 24-year-old woman could face up to one year in prison.

The woman says she was sexually assaulted by Brown and two members of his entourage on January 15 at the Mandarin Oriental hotel in Paris. In an interview with French publication Closer, she described the alleged rape as “brutal” and “violent.”

Police arrested Brown and the two other men on Tuesday (January 22), but they were released a few hours later and are allowed to leave the country. Authorities reportedly have problems with the woman’s story and have determined what she says went down is nearly impossible.

She told police Brown raped her in his hotel suite dressing room for 25 to 30 minutes. Then she said she was raped by one of Brown’s friends in another room and again by another man in a third room. Meanwhile, roughly 20 people were in the same hotel suite and she failed to alert anyone.

Sources close to Brown believe he’s been a “easy target for anyone to cry wolf.” He denies all allegations.

Brown is currently in Paris working on a video. So far, no charges have been filed against the R&B star. [apple_news_ad type=”any”]
