Pusha T stopped by The Daily Show on Tuesday (December 18) to chop it up with host Trevor Noah. During the interview, Noah asked the G.O.O.D. Music president about Kanye West and his tendency to parade the infamous MAGA hat around wherever he goes.

“He doesn’t [wear it] anymore,” Push said. “He stopped. He stopped, though.”

The Grammy Award-nominated MC also admits he was hesitant to broach politics with ‘Ye while he was making theDAYTONAalbum.

“Can you imagine having those conversations while he’s trying to make my album?” he said. “He basically has my life in his palm and I have to tell him that I hate something. We always have real conversations, though. Always.

“I think that’s why me and him connect so well and I think that’s why DAYTONA came out so well. It’s a give and take. If I don’t like something, I say it and he tries to correct it, and so on and so forth.”

Elsewhere in the conversation, Push addressed the controversial DAYTONA album cover, which featured the late Whitney Houston’s drug laden bathroom.

“I felt like this image spoke to exactly what was going on in the album,” he explained. “It’s organized chaos. It’s luxury. it’s drugs. It’s just chaos. I’m make luxury street rap. We gonna talk about everything. We gonna talk about the good, the bad and the ugly.”

Other topics include mental health, Drake, “The Story of Adidon” and the water-throwing incident at Push’s recent Toronto concert.
