Originally from Oakland, rapper nobigdyl — real name Dylan Phillips — moved to Tennessee at the ripe age of 9. After graduating from Middle Tennessee State University, Phillips got an intern job at Reflection Music Group, which led to a position as the imprint’s merchandise manager.
Eventually, he became Derek Minor’s road manager and the rest is history. With encouragement from Minor, nobigdyl is now focused on bringing inspirational messages to the masses with his own solo songs. Subsequently, the Capitol Records signee is well on his way to carving out a name for himself.
Here are Nobigdyl’s standout verses from five of his most enticing tracks, including “Over Here,” “twenty eighteen” and “Suicide Nets.”
