New York, NY

Casanova was reportedly indicted on Wednesday (October 10) for charges related to an alleged robbery. As reported by The Blast, the Brooklyn-bred rapper was indicted on charges of robbery and coercion. His alleged accomplice, Bobby Williams, was charged with strangulation.

According to the New York District Attorney, Casanova allegedly “forcibly stole property” and instilled fear in the victim.

The incident occurred back in August when Casanova and Williams were eating at New York City’s Good Stuff Diner. They believed fellow diner Niya Rucker was filming them. Subsequently, Rucker said they attacked her and stole her cell phone.

A warrant was issued shortly after and Casanova turned himself into authorities. He was arrested on robbery charges but denied the alleged assault ever happened.

Casanova denied the allegations through his attorney Scott Leeman.

“Casanova adamantly denies the allegation that he assaulted anyone,” Leeman said. “Any contention he did so is totally false. We are in the process of conducting our own investigation into these false allegations.”

Casanova is currently out on bail and is expected back in court in December.
