Miami, FL

Art by Bankrupt has teamed up with the mother of the rapper XXXTENTACION for a memorial art raffle, which launched earlier this week on Tuesday (September 25) to raise funds for the XXX Foundation, Inc.

X was fatally shot June 18 at just 20 years old while leaving RIVA Motorsports superstore in Deerfield Beach. A Broward County grand jury indicted four men in the shooting of X.

The young Florida rapper’s mother, Cleo Bernard, established the XXX Foundation after his death to provide relief for impoverished and underprivileged families in her son’s honor. Funds raised are donated to charities and nonprofits X was passionate about, including The SOS Children’s Villages Florida, a foster care neighborhood in Coconut Creek.

Bernard shared, “I’m very excited to have partnered up with Art by Bankrupt to help raise money in honor of my son. We figured out a way to raise funds for the XXX Foundation, a non-profit organization in which 100% of all proceeds go directly to underprivileged children and their families.”

Art by Bankrupt, known for his massive wooden portraits of celebrities such as Biggie Smalls, Muhammad Ali, and Post Malone, created a custom memorial art piece for X, which he debuted on Instagram June 30th, less than two weeks after the rapper was gunned down. In Art by Bankrupt’s true fashion, the piece features a mixed media portrayal of the rapper with a mosaic design on a 5-foot-tall wood base. The piece caught Bernard’s eye, and it was gifted to her by the artist in memory of her son.

Upon learning about the foundation’s charitable work, Art by Bankrupt decided to partner with them and created a new piece in X’s honor to be raffled. The artist shared, “I’m always looking for ways to use my art for a positive impact or to give back in some way. When Cleo and I met for the first time while delivering her sons memorial art piece, we both agreed on how important it was to give back and help people in need. Together we came up with a plan to raise money for X’s nonprofit to give to various charities and families in need. Needless to say, we’re both looking forward to helping our community and those in need.”

The winner will receive the priceless piece, as well as an all-expenses-paid trip to South Florida to visit the XXXTENTACION mausoleum with Bernard.

Raffle tickets are available now at $5 a piece and can be purchased via Art by Bankrupt’s website. There is no limit on how many tickets an individual can purchase. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the XXXTentacion Foundation.
