Lil Kim is keeping busy ahead of the release of her fifth studio album, and now The Queen Bee is delivering the visuals for her “Nasty One” record on Wednesday (August 1).
In the video for the sultry, Caribbean-influenced tune, Lil Kim makes her way from the pool to the bedroom, with the occasional break for a dance number.
In a press release, Kim explained the motivation for the video.

“The single instantly reminds me of when I use to go to the underground clubs as a teenager,” she said. “I naturally wanted the video to reflect that with the super sexy Caribbean vibe, vivid colors and the dancing. When my fans watch the video, I want them to ultimately jump up and groove with it.”
While speaking with Billboard in July, Kim revealed that she wanted to show off a fun, sexy side on the track.
“Things change, and I want to give my fans what I did and little bit of something new,” Lil Kim said. “And another thing too: my fans have seen me on some hardcore shit. They’ve seen me on some gutter ‘I’m a gangstress, I will shoot your ass if you play me or you steal from me.’ They’ve seen that. I’ve done that. And last but not least … I’ve lived that. So it’s like, let’s see another side of Kim. Why not? Let’s see a fun side, a sexy side.

The music video for “Nasty One” comes weeks after the June release of the music video for Kim’s Fabolous-assisted “Spicy” record.
Kim’s fifth studio album is expected in late 2018.
