$ki Mask The Slump God took to Twitter to tease a mystery collaboration with a “loved producer” earlier this week, but on Thursday (September 14), he revealed who he was referring to — the one and only Timbaland.

The 21-year-old burgeoning rapper posted a photo of himself with the veteran producer on Instagram with the caption, “To Your Ears Soon.”

He doubled down with a tweet that read: “Me And Timbaland In The Studio Right Now. Be Ready.”

The Republic Records signee has been steadily gaining traction over the past year. One of his more recent videos, “Catch Me Outside,” dropped in late July and has since amassed over 9 million views on YouTube. The song uses the beat from Missy Elliott’s 1999 Da Real World cut, “She’s A Bitch,” which Missy co-signed in a tweet on August 1.

“Oh he rode the heck out of this Fiyah,” she wrote talking about the track. “this my She’s a Bit*h beat! Me & @Timbaland did this beat in 1999 & it still Bang! big up.”

Missy and Timbaland grew up in the same Virginia neighborhood, and have been musical partners since launching their respective careers in the early ’90s. He produced her breakthrough album, 1997’s Supa Dupa Fly and the aforementioned Da Real World.

$ki Mask clearly admires both Hip Hop legends and to mark the occasion, he shared a snippet of his forthcoming collaboration with Timbo that was captured by @ourgenerationmusicco on Instagram.
