Bun B’s wife Queenie Freeman took to Instagram Wednesday morning (August 30) to reveal the news that Pimp C’s son, Lil Chad (aka Chaddy Boo), was stranded in his grandmother’s house as a result of Hurricane Harvey.

The post was subsequently deleted but Pimp C’s widow, Chinara Butler, later uploaded a screenshot of Queenie’s post to raise further awareness of her stepson’s situation.

Bun B, who hails from Texas, later spoke with Heather B of Sway In The Morning to provide an update on Chad’s situation, appearing to confirm that he’s now out of danger.

“We spent the early hours of this morning trying to get a boat to Pimp C’s son,” Bun B said. “Pimp C’s son was stuck in his garage on top of his car for a couple of hours this morning. The house that Pimp grew up in – Pimp’s mom’s house – is built on the back of a reservoir – like literally connected to the reservoir.”

In her initial post, Queenie revealed that the UGK archives that had been left behind were lost as a result of Hurricane Harvey’s extreme weather.

“all archives of UGK that was left is now gone,” she wrote in the post’s caption field.

The news quickly began to spread, with multiple publications reporting the story. However, late Thursday night (August 31), Pimp C’s widow took to Instagram to label the reports as “fake news.”

Butler’s manager, Cherrell Rene, later released a statement to Complex regarding the story.

“I would like to also state on behalf of my client that she did not confirm the loss of UGK or Pimp C archives and memorabilia as outlets are reporting,” Rene said. “Chinara simply shared a message in hopes of getting Chad Jr some assistance.”
