Los Angeles, CA

With each passing day, 24Hrs continues to raise his stock, which has hit an all-time high with the release of his Not Open Late EP. With just five tracks to boot, the guest appearances – vocal and production — lays waste to most big name artists’ full projects, thanks to contributions from Rick Ross, PnB Rock, DJ Mustard, Nard & B, Salma Sims, Bobby V. and of course, his own flesh and blood, MadeinTYO.

In a recent interview with HipHopDX, the artist formerly known as Royce Rizzy explained the name change and his newfound personal R&B niche.

“The music I was already doing as Rizzy. I was already entertaining like singing, but just like lowkey. Not really serious about it. I was doing major trap records,” he explained to DX as he was set to open for The-Dream in Los Angeles.

“Shit, I ain’t gonna lie. It is baby-making. . . in awkward moments, more than five people I that I know told me, ‘Bro, I was getting it in’ or ‘I put your song on when I got in the car with shorty’ or ‘I be playing you and Ty.”

The “Ty” 24Hrs was referring to is none other than Ty Dolla $ign, who he has a new album in the works with, titled 24 Dollas. He’s also finalizing his full-length debut and Not Open Late EP satisfier, Open Late, which he also broke down in the interview.

“I lived in Japan, that’s why my brother’s name is MadeinTYO. We lived over there. That’s just always been the vibe: neon signs, things open 24 hours. I remember being like 17-years-old in Tokyo at like four in the morning, and everything is still open. So, Open Late. That’s the name of my album.”

Previously released singles from said project include “What You Like,” which combines the efforts of Wiz Khalifa, Ty Dolla $ign and Hit-Boy and “Not Impressed,” which features some guy named Gucci Mane.
