22 Savage took to Twitter on Monday (February 6) to announce that he’s changing his stage name. The Baton Rouge, Louisiana rapper revealed that he will now go by the moniker Young 22.

“Changed my name to Young 22,” he tweeted.

Young 22, who has also rapped under the name Mighty Mike, first came onto the scene last year, taking shots at 21 Savage before the latter responded during a live show. A subsequent social media back-and-forth ensued.

Last month, 50 Cent revealed that he was planning on getting 21 Savage and 22 Savage to square-off on the undercard of the Chris Brown vs. Soulja Boy bout. The winner, it’s proposed, will get the rights to the “Savage” moniker.
