Even though Lil Wayne and Birdman have spoken on the phone, appeared together at Drake’s New Year’s Eve party, shared the stage in Miami and have been photographed in the studio together in the last month, Lil Wayne’s $51 million lawsuit against Birdman is still active, according to TMZ.

The site says that the moves have been among Birdman’s attempts to repair the pair’s personal relationship before they work on mending their business relationship. No business talks have occurred.

The site says that Mack Maine got the two on the phone prior to Drake’s New Year’s Eve party. The four were photographed together at Drake’s event and both Lil Wayne and Birdman want to end their rift, which has lasted more than a year.

Lil Wayne tweeted in December 2014 that he was not behind the delay in Tha Carter V.

“To all my fans, I want u to know that my album won’t and hasn’t been released bekuz Baby & Cash Money Rec. refuse to release it,” Lil Wayne wrote at the time.

He also said he no longer wanted to a part of Cash Money Records, which is co-owned by Baby.
