Jerry Heller, the former manager of N.W.A, was full of praise when recently asked about the group’s 1988 debut album, Straight Outta Compton.
Heller, who is currently in the process of suing the producers of the N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton, has in the past called the Compton, California collective one of the “most important musical acts in history,” along with The Beatles.
“I think in the context of an album, Straight Outta Compton is probably the most important album of the 20th century,” the former Ruthless Records music executive said during a recently published interview with TMZ.

Elsewhere in the brief conversation, Heller called his time with Eric “Eazy-E” Wright as the most rewarding period of his life and career.
“When I think of all the things I’ve done, including bringing Elton John and Pink Floyd [to America], there was no more rewarding period of my life than the eight years I spent in business with Eazy-E,” he said.
