Lil Dicky says that he admires Rich Homie Quan’s musical creativity.
During a recent appearance on Headkrack’s Hip Hop Spot, Lil Dicky revealed that the two are working on some material together, before calling the Atlanta, Georgia rapper “a genius.”
“I think Rich Homie [Quan] is one of my better rap friends,” Lil Dicky says. “We’re working on some stuff. I don’t wanna talk too much about it. He’s amazing to me. He’s a genius. He’s so nice though. To me, I couldn’t imagine a nicer human being.”
Elsewhere in the conversation, while discussing his sophomore studio album, Lil Dicky admits that he’s yet to find his sound as a rapper and affirms that he’s in no rush to put out his next project. He continues by saying that he often works best when he has someone guiding him in terms of his cadence and voice.

“I don’t know that I know fully the way I should sound as a rapper,” Lil Dicky says. “I couldn’t tell you how I want to sound. I need someone to help me, like Pharrell [to] be like, ‘Nah, do it this way.’ Sound-wise, I think there’s a big thing that I haven’t figured out. Content-wise, I have a pretty great idea that I won’t even share but it’s something that would take so long to make. In the mean time, I think I’m going to put out smaller projects to really figure out who I am as a rapper because I don’t even know that I know who I am as a rapper.”
Lil Dicky released his debut studio album Professional Rapper, in July of this year.
