Given the time Dr. Dre took between releasing his 2001 album in 1999 and dropping his Compton: A Soundtrack By Dr. Dre project yesterday (August 6), Entertainment Weekly decided to compile a list of “Every Dr. Dre verse since 2001 ranked.”

“The Recipe,” the Compton, California rapper-producer’s collaboration with protege Kendrick Lamar tops Entertainment Weekly’s list. “Dre is positively on point in his best guest spot since his last album,” the story says. “He switches up his flow once or twice (a pretty uncommon thing for Dre), and at one point brags about the fact that he wants to buy the Pacific Ocean, which is both spectacularly silly and kind of badass.”

Dr. Dre’s appearance on Eminem’s “B**** Please II” is #2 on the list. The song also features Snoop Dogg, Xzibit and Nate Dogg. “In a crowded room, Dre manages to rise above everybody—even Eminem—on this posse cut from The Marshall Mathers LP that acted as a sequel to a Dre-produced track from Snoop’s No Limit Top Dogg,” the story says.
