As Cassidy stood before a Philadelphia courtroom Tuesday facing the possibility of life in prison or, even worse, the death penalty, the rapper awaited his fate. His fate lay in the court based on the events that took place on April 15th which left one man dead and two others injured. What would be his fate?

When Court Judge Marsha Neifield reduced Cassidy’s first-degree murder count to murder in the third, a sigh of relief exhaled from Cassidy’s lungs. Ballistics evidence reportedly revealed that the shooting was a one sided affair. Which means that Cassidy could get off on self defense.

Bail was set for $2.5 million but Cassidy only needs 10% of that amount to be his released. He already has spent 60 days in jail and will have to wait a little while longer to give the prosecution a chance to appeal and refile the original first degree murder charges. But for now, instead of life behind bars, Cassidy may be looking at 20 to 40 years if he is convicted.
