B.o.B has been one of the south’s most notable rappers over the years and his catalog of hits proves he has a knack for making songs the masses enjoy.

Recently speaking with HipHopDX Editor-in-Chief Justin Hunte during Los Angeles Power 106’s PowerHouse concert, the Atlanta native explained the difference between successful people and those who just want to be famous.

“I’m not surprised at where my career is because I believe you can accomplish whatever you feel you can accomplish,” he said via a segment of today’s (June 11) DX Daily. “You got to have the energy for it first. A lot of people want to be famous but they don’t know why; being an artist or being famous but they don’t really know why.”

B.o.B also explained how he became successful citing that he had the energy and vision to do so.

“For me man, I knew what I wanted to do and I had the energy to do it so I’m not surprised at all and honestly I feel like I’m just getting started. I have yet to show my full potential.”

B.o.B recently spoke with DX about what he believes makes Atlanta such a successful place for rap superstars. The rapper known as Bobby Ray released his latest mixtapeNew Black in November of last year.
